How magsboth works

Two walkthroughs, because the two sides of a lesson want different things. The instructor is setting up a small business; the student is trying to book a flight and sign what they're asked to sign.

TSA vetting, study permits, work authorization, and what each country's certificates are worth in the other. Three guides: Canadian citizens, American citizens, dual citizens.

Turning a Canadian licence into an FAA certificate

Turning an FAA certificate into Canadian privileges

The northbound edition: the one-year visitor certificate, the mandatory Canadian medical, the night trap in reverse, and the radio exam nobody warns you about.

The short version

magsboth is one account for an independent CFI's whole operation: a public page students can find, a calendar they can book, e-signed waivers and endorsements, a private cabinet for the records you're required to retain, cash-basis books that survive an audit, and invoices and receipts for money that never touched a card reader.

Nothing in it assumes you use our payments. If a student hands you cash, you can still issue a numbered receipt and have the income land in your books, dated correctly.

Available in the US and Canada, except Quebec for now. Free to start; see pricing.
